My R2400 works great, except for frequency error. It seems to always read about +.800 KHz, and the bar graph is not steady.
The error fluctuates between +500 and +800. My frequency counter shows correct, stable frequency. Is this an alignment issue?
I got this from a Silent Key Ham, and it is quite new to me.

Re: R2400 Freq. Error
Is that .800 KHz error across the entire spectrum or does the error change by frequency band (Low band, high band, UHF, 800 MHz)? If it changes by band, the master oscillator could be off slightly. As for the fluctuations, you might be overdriving the receiver. Try adding some attenuation.

Re: R2400 Freq. Error
Thanks for the reply. The error seems to increase with frequency. I see the TCXO reference module, but do not see an adjustment.
Is it behind the screw near the speaker?

Re: R2400 Freq. Error
Hi friend
Typically when we have a problem in the TCXO when the frequency goes up the error is usually higher

Re: R2400 Freq. Error
Typically for both TCXO or OCXO when out of frequency, at higher frequencies the value doubling error
