CDM1250 Channel Programming

I am new to the CDM software. I have a CDM1250 on the bench. It is programmed for 2 ' conventional personalities ' in ZONE 1.
The radio boots up to the first personality. The channel up/down buttons do not work. I've tried programming the ' P1 ' and P2 ' buttons for various functions, nothing seems to work. How do select personalities from the front panel buttons?? Is there a source for instructions on the software?

Have you tried reading the help files on the programming CD?

There are dozens of threads here going back well over 10 years with programming information. You will find lots of info on programming the CDM1250.

What version of the CPS are you using?

If you want, I can take a look at your codeplug and see if anything jumps out at me.

It may be helpful to search using wildcards.
If someone asks a question about one model,
the answer almost always pertains to most, if not all.
They are all programmed with HVN9025 CPS.
The last version of the CPS released before the
product line was discontinued is R06.12.09.

If you need a blank codeplug, there is a folder
full of them, one for each possible model
number on your hard drive. The folder is in
the Program Files where your CPS is installed.
It is labelled SAMPLES.

The suggestion of loading a sample, blank codeplug worked! The channel up/down buttons now work. I programmed the personalities and zone exactly the same as before. Thank you all for the help!

4 channel CDM1250??? You sure it's not a CDM750???

You need to assign the buttons to function as channel selectors.

He sent me the model number in an email. It's definitely a CDM1250. I suspect the OP means that there's 4 channels programmed.

When you say the buttons don't work, is it that they don't perform as programmed - or that the buttons literally don't do anything? If there's no beep or function, it may be a hardware issue inside the head.
