HI guys, I have a teaser for ya:
I have once before made a "rear" control point for a maratrac radio, I have jotted down on paper the connections which I made to make this work, but I cannot any longer decipher what I drew on the paper.

I have to set up a rear speaker w/ volume pod & a NOrmal RJ-45 maxtrac type mic for a fire chief friend of mine. The volume pod I already installed fine and have tested it.
I need to know what wires tie into the radio VIP connector on the maratrac, (I know where the speaker ties in)

The way I did this before was at the rear of the vehicle I installed an Rj-45 style telephone jack and ran wires from the a-7 control head up front back to the rj-45 jack.
The speaker I wired into the rj-45 jack onto pins 1 & 5, and I connected the control head end of the wires into the VIP connector and speaker lines, but I don't know what I connected to where on the VIP connector.

I also want to make this same setup for a maxtrac 16 pin connector radio.

If anyone has the pinouts and specific directions to accomplish this, I would really appreciate your contacting me via Private message and we can exchange emails or you can post the info here if easier.

Thanks to all who read & or reply.
