1990 Chevy Blazer radio console needed

Post by ScannerDan »

Hi All,

I hav an older 1990 Chevy Blazer 4x4 that I would like to install a center radio console into. I want to remove the plastic stock console and replace it with a metal radio one. Does anyone have any ideas as to which type I should install ? I looked on a few web site of companys that make the consoles and non of them have my 1990 Blazer listed.

Thanks in advance

The blazer is the same size at the explorer for the most part. I have a Troy CC-06 in my '92 Explorer. It's about 14" wide and fit's like a glove. Length wasn't an issue with me, but off the top of my head it's about 18" long. I bought mine used a Pursuit Technologies in Los Angeles, great people over there!

Jotto Desk makes a pretty decent product. Most of the console manufacturers have fairly decent and rugged equipment consoel mounts. Although that is a large space to fill. If you can afford it maybe something custom might work/fit/look better than any of the other types that are on the market. Most equipment dealers can/will build one to your liking...may cost a little more but will be exactly what you want.

Here is a console I had in my K1500 blazer. Its a low end pro-copper mount cut to fit, but any of the public service consoles would work.
