I have some Motorola UHF Expos (old) but they still kick butt due to their size. Does anyone know where I can get these recrystalled and how much it would cost?
Looking to to 464.5000 043DPL and 464.5500 051DPL.

Come to think about it no, DPL may not be possible with the expos?????

Can anyone help with some info

Hi:

Some Expos are DPL, PL, or CS. If the
Model/Serial Tag is still intact, and
the radio has not been altered, if the
last 4 Numbers are like 6120 ( that would
be DPL ) 3120 ( would be PL )

In either case, re-crystaling a Expo Series
Radio, and realigning it, should be left to
a Experienced Tech, however, if you have the
proper equipment you can get inexpensive xtals from:

Jan Crystals
2341 Crystal Drive
Fort Myers, Florida 33906-6017

(800)526-9825
Fax (941)936-3750
(941)936-2397

Or if you desire the Optimum performance, you
can also order them from Motorola

I use Jan Xtals for my medium tier customers, and Motorola for my Industrial
level customers.

ICM is also a good source for crystals; I've used them in the past.

Add to the list, Bomar Crystals, located in New Jersey. They have a website through which you can order. They just furnished four 6M MT500 crystals for me which were exactly on-channel for $12.50 each.

Thanks for the input all. I found the model number. They are H24XPU6110AN. Anyone have any refurb kits for the expos? and a shop to have them worked on?
