Gentlemen,
I have recently completed the install of a Jedi MTVA. It appears to be working ok using a UHF HT-1000. Nowhere in any of the manuals can I find any reference to using a JT-1000 with this unit. Has anyone had any experience using an JT-1000 with a MTVA unit?
My MTVA is installed without the RF deck so any Jedi radio (VHF thru 900mhz) may be used by installing the correct antenna on the NMO roof mount. My JT-1000 is a VHF rig.
Any comments or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Mike

If you don't have the RFPA option, the thing should work with any band radio. As you said, match the antenna to the correct band.
The JT1000 will work.
I had a rig set up for VHF and UHF once. We were on VHF and the neighboring fire department was UHF. I installed a VHF antenna for our primary use but used a UHF radio in the same charger when running mutual aid to the other department. Both radios were JT1000's and they worked fine.
