Anybody try these ? Selling point is that there RF shielded on the inside
and can be supplied with many different cable lengths with a uni-dapt connector system, no soldering or crimping. Cable ends in FME connector
and you add the appropriate adapter. Don't know if they're still made, got an adviteresement for them a few years ago and haven't seen any recent references.

They work WONDERFUL, I think AS now sells them though. I don't think Hirschmann really had their heart in the Land Mobile Business, 1988 thru 1990 I was the VP of Sales for their Land Mobile Division and they just were not sure how they wanted to go, they are a great company though. They are actually one of the worlds largest electronic firms. They make television transmitters and all those moter antenna's aon Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar and the other expensive euro cars.

Hirschmann mounts
Yes, those shielded NMO mounts formerly sold under the Hirschmann name are now offered by A/S. Part # KSM766. Have used them before. They're great. Best part is you can make the feedline any length you want and use premiun cable such as LMR200 or LMR240. You will need FME female connectors appropriate for whatever cable you are using, and crimp them onto the antenna end of your cable, using the same crimp tools as you would to install other crimp-type connectors. The FME female connectors mate with the mount. Makes for a nice install.
