Mt 1000 on 6 meters?

Does anyone have experience with making the mt 1000 operate on 6 meters? Can it be done with lab rss?

Hi:

Sorry to report, but the MT1000 / P200 Low Band radios roll off real quick around 52.00Mhz. I have been informed the radio
will work up to and beyond 54 Mhz with a
modification.

Fellow I spoke with would not give the deatils, but I suspect one would have to
remove the VCO module, and perhaps make a few changes.

Perhaps someone on the Bat Lab site will share the Mods with us.
