Federal government or local government...i can think of a few using them for Local goverment..none for Federal...hell I never knew a federal agancy that had an STX...mostly sabers, MX's, astro sabers, XTS...most federals are conventional UHF/VHF....I know a few local agencies that still use them.

Well I doubt they would buy them from you being a city and all they really dont deal with individuals...No offense, its just they are right now buying XTS and I dont think a purchase of anything other than what is approved would go through....you could call them....its broward county, florida and city of miami florida....Broward has almost completely moved to MTS2000's and are now buying XTS, but their corrections deputies still use STX radios....Miami as all but pretty much switched to XTS and upgraded the system from Type I to Type II but still have a few straggalers using STX's...I would put em on talkaround..thats your best bet. If they do buy them from you....expect to wait 30 to 45 days for a check to be cut and sent to you...and dade county is not fun trying to get paid from either...you gotta call the comptroller a thousand times before you even get past the voicemail. Broward is a little better...but still no cakewalk
