Minitor batteries?

Post by Robert HT220 »

What kind of batteries do you need for Motorola Minitor pagers? I already know that AA and AAA's don't fit in it. Any help?

Thanks

Minitor uses two "N" cells.
If rechargeables are required, they need a "tit" on the end.

Ok, thanks for letting me know. I have two, and I need to see which one is operational. I think I have found out which is which, but I need batts. to be able to test them. I have 155.31 in them, but I need 155.040, so if anyone has that crystal or whatever, let me know, I'd really appreciate it.

Anyone know a source for Ni-MH N size batteries?

Out of all the batteries they could have used [like AAA or AA]... why N?

The Min III's and IV's do take rechargeable AAA's. The Min II did too but Moto has them wrapped in a plastic sleeve and stuffing two AAA's in there without the sleeve won't work.

Good point Jonathan. I thought the same thing. That's no prob. 'cause I can get them at wallyworld. :) I think they're like about $3 for a two pack. Oh, I think Chief Supply has Minitor 1 batteries, they are rechargable. http://www.chiefsupply.com Look for the antenna and battery section.

Hello.

"N" cells are not hard to find, even rechargable, try radio shack, as well as, for the standard, wal-mart, check the camera section.

Thank You.

They are small!!! :D I was amazed at the size, wowsers. I have found some N batts that I had around, they both power up and Beeeeeep beep beep beep. They do squelch when the bar is pushed. I have been picking up skip on them a lot, the deputys here have been complaining about skip on SO primary all day. (I don't think they use PL :) )

I was overjoyed to find the AAAA at Radio Shack. They're tough to come by.

I have a Streamlight Stylus that uses them, and it's with me 24/7. Great little light! I use it constantly, and change the batteries about twice a year.
