I'm trying to set up my new I20R to allow me to remotely cut it on and off. The docs on this subject are pretty limited.

I've tried setting up the receive radio to decode an MDC ID, but just don't seem to have everything set right. The receive radio is a GM300. I have a GP350 that I am using to try to cut it on and off. Am I missing something important here?

Thanks
Jay

The GP350 does not have the capability to generate MDC selcall or MDC status/messge, only PTT-ID. You would be better off with a DTMF decoder, and that way you can set-up or knock down the repeater with non-motorola equipment.
