Does anyone know how to map PL detect on the MTR 2000 to the 96 pin connector on the back of the repeater

I take it plain old carrier detect isn't good enough? Normally you get 'fast carrier detect' on pin...B4...I believe (no manual here at home). It goes from ground to +5volts when carrier is present. What I'm not sure of is whether or not you get the carrier detect there without the proper PL, if the repeater is set up with one. I'm actually going to be working on a couple of MTRs next week, with microwave links. I'll have a look then & see what I find. If you need a carrier detect that goes to ground, then you either need the 'wildcard' option, and configure the jumpers for it (I can look that up next week as well), or use your own transister switching circuit.

Thanks Todd, no both the carrier detect and Rdstat lines go high regardless of the PL. There must be a way to detect PL. Need it for outboard controller.

Look for RUS signal. AKA RX Act on pin 15 on J7, the DB25 connector where most of what you need for external control(er) is located.
RX Act is zero true.
