This evening I was in my truck, driving along happy as can be. I was using my MT2000 UHF handheld to talk on a channel that I didn't have currently programmed into my spectra. I had the MT2000 clipped to the side of the radio rack, not too far from the spectra's control head (A9). Well, now the display for the control head seems to be out. The button backlighting still works, the radio powers up, transmits and receives fine, I can change modes, volume, etc, but the alpha display is gone. I'm guessing that transmitting on the handheld so close to the control head probably fried something. Anyone ever have this happen? Know how I can fix it?

I have an Mt2000 UHF, I have keyed up next to a computer monitor and it has shut it down, but once I turned it(monitor) off and then back on...it was OK. Not sure what the RF is actually doing, but it's probablly not good. Sorry would not know a fix for that display, perhaps if you remove all power to it, and then hook it back up....
