What radios do you own?: Too many..

I have an MTX LS LTR and was trying to program the radio using MTX8000 software. I keep ona getting a COMMUNICATION ERROR and TIME OUT ERROR? Is there a problem with my RIB or CABLE, or am I using the wrong RSS? If it is the RSS, what type of RSS will I need to program this radio?

Well, the MTX-LS portables use a different RSS than the MTSX series.

Josh,

Thanks for the info.. Do you know what RSS the radio uses? Is it MTX LS RSS? Can I use another type of RSS? Also, if my codeplug is bad, will the radio function at all, (ie: turn on and neep?) I brought the radio to our Motorola Dealer and he said that he hasn't seen one of these MTX LS's before. He tried to read the codeplug several times with different software and stated that he couldn't.... Any answers??

Thanks,
Tony

Yes, MTX-LS has its own RSS. I believe it will not work with other RSS. Hope this helps.

Yep, I've never seen it, but the software you're looking for is called MTX-LS, part# RVN4138B, latest version is 2.00.00. Hope that helps you.
