I have a Minitor I that has an audio board with three slots and permacode filters. Three questions -
First - Is the third slot just like in a Minitor II ( group call)?
Second - Is the alert sound any different for this third slot?
Third - If the alert sound is different for the third slot, can I put tone "A' in slot 2 and tone "B" in slot three and have that different alert sound?
Thanks to all who reply!

Minitor Alert question

This is from memory as I am not in the shop to verify this.
As I recall there was only 1 alert tone for the minitor I.
The third slot can be set for group call or used for a second tone set using 1 common tone. It depends on the jumper configuration set at the factory. The alert tone stays the same so you cannot tell which is being tones out.

Group call (B tone for 8 seconds) will produce a "solid" alert tone. Group call required the additon of an additonal IC in the standard 2 reed decoder boards, if I remember correctly.
The 3 tone decoder boards used NLN-8503 Permacodes and had jumpers to allow either A-B and A-C decoding or A-B and C-B decoding. Can't remember if group call was available with the 3 tone boards.
