What radios do you own?: Motorola, Kenwood, Icom

Post by firemed9 »

I have a 16 channel radius radio that I had installed in my truck. Heres the problem, if i take the mic of the hang up clip (standard clip), i lose all audio on the radio. Does anyone know why this happens?

Also, if anyone knows what this radio would be called (m100???, etc...) please let me know. It is a maxtrac style radio, but says radius on the label, and is 16 channels VHF.

Last question, if you know what the model is, could someone give me the part number for the rss so i can get a copy of it?

Any and all help is very appreciated.

Don't know too much about these radios but could it be programmed for a telephone style handset?

Sounds like you have a Radius M216 mobilem or something very similar. Uses the Radius M100 package to program, and the handset operation feature sounds like something worth investigating.

When you have someone check it with the RSS, make sure that handset operation is disabled.

Let us know how it goes
