If I have a desktrac with a maxtrac radio in it, how would I make this setup into a repeater? What parts would I need or boards to find? Where to connect?

Hi:

Unless your radio was already set up for
a Repeater option ( 2cd receiver for example ) I would not waste your time.

Making a Desktrack into a Repeater would
involve a enormus amount of time and effort.

One would have to add a 2cd Receiver, controller, duplexer, and completely rewire
the radio.

Although one could probably do it, you would
be better off with a couple of GM300's or
Maxtraxs and one of " Wills" interconnect
Cables, or if you wish to be Factory, get
a R*I*C*K however, they are a little on the
Costly side, but they do have alot of fearures....

Thanks for the advice. I will save my time and money and put it elsewhere.

You could put another radio, a Maxtrac or any Radius radio in the DeskTrac and use my repeater interface module as the circuits for the repeater control are not usally in the DeskTrac radio configuration. My module WILL fit inside the Desktrac.
