Our local Police and Fire have changed to a Smartzone system. There are 4 zones in total.Using my Spectra,i create a system using two of the control channel for a specific zone, put all the talkgroups in a scan list. Then i chose the n pri for each T/G to scan, hit the scan button and it works fine. But if i want to stop on one T/G and take the scan off to listen to it,some work and some will not.I have been using spectras for years and have the RSS one would need to program the radio. If i do the same with a MTX 8000 ,Maxtrac,MCS2000 they all work fine,i can
stop and listen to any of the T/G's the scan list. Why will the Spectra not let me listen to certain T/G's in a scan list unless the scan button is on.Hope this makes sence.

Are you using the talkgroups programmed all into one personality or system or are there so many that yuo had to program multiple personalities/systems? If the second is the case, make sure you typed in the right system key for all systems.

Another thing is try reading the radio then writing the radio without reading the archive from disk. Sometimes if you use a hacked codeplug to enable features that your radio wasn't setup for, it can do some weird things. I had a Spectra that would have to 'warm up' to a system for a couple hours before you could actively use it (this was upon each powerup); turned out to be a hacked codeplug in it.
