I noticed some intrest in a prior thread regarding casino radios.

Here in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, the Soaring Eagle Casino is licenced for 12 conventional repeatered pairs in UHF-400.

Last time I was there, the slot-tech had a Radius P1225 with a headset; I assume security does too. I was too busy trying to find a nickle slot machine that was avaliable (fat chance.)

Anyway, they hold FCC callsigns: WPOZ380, WPNS628, WPLQ704 & WPOX986.

They use DPL, except the 462.375/467.375 repeater pair that uses PL of 6B. I think that pair is for valet parking only.

To date, I've only been able to hear traffic on 5 out of the 12 pairs. How's that for using your spectrum privilages?!

I don't think they'll be going trunked anytime soon.

Anyone else have any casino info?

Foxwoods in CT has a whole bunch of differnt stuff going on. Low band for fire. Vhf for EMS trunked 800 for the main stuff and a few odds and ends. I believe they are going to move everything over to the 800, but as of a year or two ago, thats how is was setup (according to a couple of guys that I talked to that worked there).

Down here at Mohegan Sun Casino, they originally had all Motorola MTX8000 B3 radios, but now they switched to another company. (couldn't make out what type of radio they had, the top of the radio looks very similar to the jedi series of Motorola radios, but it defiantly was not a Motorola (much shorter) and get this, I noticed that the antenna was cut and is now about 2 inches tall.
Also at foxwods, they use (800MHZ) visars, and some kenwoods, and SOME mtx8000 b5 models.

yes, you heard right. I had a close up view of the radio and I'm 100% shure that the antenna was cut becuase at the tip of the antenna, I could see literaly inside the "antenna guts"

Pechanga Casino in Temecula, CA uses HT1250 LTR Trunked radios in the 464/466MHz range. It currently has 7 Freq pairs. They will be upgrading to CAD dispatch soon.
