Don't know specifically about the 03, but with the 02 I went to the "jump block" on the positive battery cable. This is a large red box that has a stud and nut connection that you can tie into. Just remember to fuse your radio's appropriately. I haven't completely removed my headliner, but can get it down enough to safely work on the roof. You need to remove the overhead console (it removes with 1 screw in the front) and remove the dome light. In the back (if you have an ext. cab) you need to remove the coat hooks. These don't have screws, they are a friction fit and the front half of the hook pulls out ( hard I might add) and the entire assembly pulls out.
Good Luck,
Bob

In my 2003 Tahoe, I ran two 4 Ga wires from the passenger compartment (under drivers side 2nd row seat) directly to the battery. The B+ has a 40A circuit breaker on it of course. I hate fuses. Circuit breakers are worth the extra expense to me.
For ignition sense, I drive a relay from the fused side of the radio B+.
