Dissposal of NICKEL-CADMIUM Batteries?Where?

Hi,

I have several (3-5) Nickel-Cadmium Batteries that do not hold a charge anymore. Where in CT can I bring these batteries to be dissposed of properly?

INMETCO, Bin # M1 P.O. box 720 245 Portersville Rd. Elwood City, PA 16117 Or call Motorola 800-422-4210 & ask them! There recycling them for a while now!

Better yet! see if your local "Batteries Plus" or whatever battery store is up in CT. will take them..Its a EPA thing now, where they fall under hazardous waste!

Most Home Depots have drop offs for used NiCds/

In some areas the local FD HazMat unit will accept used batteries for disposal.

All our batteries are recycled by INMETCO.
We are one of INMETCO/RBRC's recycle points.
They provide the container and the shipping by UPS to Pens.
This is who Motorola Uses.
Call RBRC at 800 822-8837
or visit http://www.rbrc.org

Also some Radio Shack stores have drop off
for used batteries.
