I am experiencing a squelch tail at the end of transmissions while in scan mode. This does not occur when monitoring only one channel.
Any ideas on what setting might correct this problem?

Switch from Priority scan to Non-Priority scan and make sure PL scan is enabled.

I have noticed that even with PL scan enabled, if you use priority scan you will get that irritating squelch tail.

I have noticed the same problem and fix.
It depends when the radio accually mutes and then changes VCO frequency while scaning some times it will "Crash". Also on each channel options make sure that the mute is set to OR.
And un mute is AND.
