Quick HT600 Model Number Decode Please

I have search all the previous messages/batlabs and was unable to find a model number decoder that corresponded to this model number anywhere.

H44SVU7160CN

I am trying to find out the band split.

And I even went to Panik's web site and he's got several ht600's listed with this very same model number but for different band splits. Anyone???

The model # only shows 6 ch. hi power UHF. For subband you need to either read the radio via RSS or open it up as the split is marked on the VCO under the ribbon cable.

that's what I was afraid of.

Yet for some unkown reason P200's do indicate the split in the model number.

I don't know what you're smokin

but none of the radios in the Genesis series have bandsplit id'ers in the model numbers. Infact I have several 146-162 AND several more 157-174 P200s, all of which have the same model numbers.

Dkouz is correct. The Genesis series were all the same - no bandplit in the model number.

Not fun but it's the reality.

I am smokin marijwanna that is rolled up in pages torn out of a 1992 Pagecom catalog (now Bearcom)

It would seem as if the last number in the model # corresponds to the band split. EG: a "2" would mean 438-470
I suppose these could be internal model numbers, but the parts and acessories have actual model numbers so I am assuming these are actual model numbers.

I wonder also, is it safe to assume that a HT600 with a frequency of 453 in it currently is on the 438-470 split, or was there some screwy split for the ht600's like 450-460 or something?

Those are stock numbers, NOT model numbers. A Genesis model number comes in the form of: H43RFU7120BN This radio is a VHF, 5 watt, 2 channel 'B' revision radio.

A quick vist to Batlabs finds this page on the HT600/P200/MT1000 http://www.batlabs.com/ht6hack.html But the quick answer is yes, it is a 438-470 radio.

Like you said, internal model #'s are shown. Here's what I've observed on the P200/HT600 series:

4 (power level 3 lo, 4 hi)
4 (Band 3 VHF 4 UHF)
R
F (RFU for P200, SVU for HT600)
U

6 (6 for 6 ch. 2 for 2 ch.)
0
B (revision code have seen A,B,C)

HI:

In the HT600 Series, the only real way of
knowing for sure is to take the radio apart
and look at the VCO Block.

UHF HT600's for example can come in several
ranges like 403-430 Mhz, 438-470 Mhz, and
470 ~ 512 etc.

When examining the HT600 Radios, this is the only
way, as the Model Number is worth about as much
as the paper on the back

P200's on the other hand, do have the Freq Range
Listed as the photo shows:

Anyhow, since the radios will fit in the same housing, even
I have found a low range radio being advertised as a Mid and
even High-Split radios.
