MT2000 VHF no longer mutes MDC

I have an MT2000 that just stopped muting MDC1200 on day. Worked fine one day, then stopped the next. Any ideas? Shop has reprogrammed radio and all the MDC options are set correctly for muting yet it still doesn't work. What gives?

Did you get it into carrier squelch mode by error?
DOS, data operated squelch, is tricky to implement on these and only works on leading or PTT MDC.
Have someone else look at the settings in the radio, maybe he(she) will see something the other tech(?) did not see.

The problem occurs on PL, DPL and CSQ channels. The radio worked just fine previously muting MDC1200 on dekey as well. I have an MTS2000 on UHF that also mutes correctly. I just don't understand how the radio do something one minute and then not the next unless there is something wrong with the programming or ?
