Can anyone tell me the part number for the front panel plastic on an mcx1000? The years have taken their toll, and I'd like to clean up it's appearance.
For that matter, anyone (Monty?) have a NOS piece lying around, that they're willing to part with for a reasonable price? My electronics are OK, I just need the plastic.
Thanks in advance....
Mike

Hi Mike:

Well, I took a look over @ the warehouse, and
well, not a MCX1000 in site....Does not mean
its not in a box, the problem is I have 1000's of these boxes....Kinda like everyday
Christmas if you are into Motorola...

Anyhow, if you take the front panel off, and
look around the interior, you should be able
to get the 15-XXXXXX part number...Or if you
send me a " Exact Model Number" I do have a
CD which Crosses everything Motorola makes

Even Mocat stuff.....although the Automotive
stuff is No longer availible ( other than
the millions of service kits that are still out there )

Monty-
Actually found the part number via Accesspoint - they still have the exploded view drawings of the MCX1000 available. Part #1500331M01 is listed as "Plastic Housing C/H Front" and #6100018M01 is listed as "Lens C/HB". If I try to add both to the shopping cart, the lens goes in, but the housing gives me a 'page not found' error, so I guess that's //s way of telling me I can't buy a new one from them.
Ever replace the lens on something like this? I could get away with just that...
