I picked up what I think is some kind of radio manufactured by Motorola. It is a rectangular black metal case with an SMC connector for an antenna, a DB25 connector for a computer and a modular connector (I believe for a mic). The model number is: S2892A. Also says TX power output is 3W. Can you provide any information on this such as frequency coverage, mic wiring diagram, and where I can get the computer program for controling it. Also, where does it get its 12VDC power from? The DB25? I see no other connections.

Thank you,
Greg

You have what sounds like an 800MHz AMPS cellular transceiver. Fairly useless without it's proper handset/ power cable assembly. The handset plugs into the RJ-45 connector. The power cable assembly, (power, external speaker, handsfree microphone) plugs into the DB-25. A larger cellular dealership probably has lots of the power cable assemblies laying around, the proper handset might be a problem to match up though.
