Hi:

A friend of mine and I are under taking
the proper approch to converting MT1000 / P200 Series Low Band 42-50 Mhz radios to the
46-54 Mhz range for Ham Band operation.

We know this has been done, but so far no
one has posted what changes are required.

We do know the VCO goes out of lock with Hex
Editing of frequencies beyond 52.35 Mhz.

I suspect a small value cap change around the Rx-TX VCO diodes is all that is needed, however I do not have a 42-50 Mhz VCO Block
to make a A-B comparison

We are very serious in making these units work for all, so if you have any suggestions,
know of someone who has already done it ( to save time on duplication of effort, please
contact me. We would be willing to " Reward"
the perosn(s) that have sucessfully modified
the following

My P200 works fine on 6. The highest TX freq
I have tried is 53.47 Stays in lock cold-hot
whatever. I think I tweaked the trimmers in the PA for full power and there are some adjustments to the front end for sensitivity.
Sorry
