Would anyone be interested in a message board that dealt with Vertex and Icom radios? I notice there's increasing interest in them with the unfortunate decline in the Motorola quality we all know and love.

Sounds good to me!

"M" isn't the only radio around anymore.

That is great, as we work on some of the Vertex and still work on a few Icoms. I even still use my ICU400 every day. It is my "dash " programmable test radio with a PL/DPL display decoder on it, very handy.

I was thinking of that about a week ago. I even asked my friend for some HTML help on what I have forgoten. I think it would be great. I have searched all over the web, and haven't found anything good, except for ham mods. "vcaruso", your site didn't have much info on what I needed, but it would be good if more info could be added. A little eisier domain name would be good too. I think it would be nice to have a link to Batlabs and this site could have a link to the other radios, that is if Batlabs doesn't mind a little compatition.

Well, Since I've been looking for a good use for my BSD machine under my desk, I'll offer up web space for one, install, and administer it. I just need the time to set one up.

I'll leave it running provided it get's used. I don't have any particular investment in GE, Icom, etc, but I would be happy to set something up that will follow the lines of this board.

With that said, would there be enough interest if I donated the space to this project and set up a board like this one? Would people use it?

Let me know,

Alex

Well, The web server is there , If any one has the info please feel free to e-mail me with it and I will publish it giving credit where it is due. I do have a shorter domain name which I need to set up on the DNS, There is info trickling in and I would be willing to convert any manual mailed in to PDF format as well.

All contribuitors of info are welcome to e-mail me directly at [email protected]

The site is free and will be kept free and running if interest continues to grow
