Need help with MT2000 UHF

Hello and thanks for reading I pick up this on ebay: Motorola MT2000 UHF Model #H01SDD9AA4N

so, I started to program it using rss version 6.08 mtsx and I was doing pretty good and it load the codeplug to the radio but here is the problem that I have now:

the radio is only doing simplex frequencies and it does not do duplex aka repeater frequencies, what could be wrong? I re-check everything and still getting no where I hope someone here can help me out and point me in the right direction and I can use the radio. The radio is on the 450-520 band but I have been told that it works without modification on the ham radio band.

Problem solved, after many testing and searching and retracing steps, the problem was the rubber duck ht antenna had a bad connector, I tested with a outside antenna and bingo it works great no adjustment needed.
