Post by Mat1974 »

Hi , Probably this subject was already discuss but i dont find it..

So i want to plug an external mic on the Motorola M1225 I connect ground on pin 7, PTT on pin 2 and Audio on pin 3.

The PTT work great but the audio give me only .800 Khz deviation. The mic (aarmn 4025 i have a HMN3596 but i have the same bug with this model) work when i connect it in the front of the radio. Can you help me? Do i need prog accessory connector?

Thanks

Yes its enable i have change the mic (now i use the 3596 model) and i have now 4khz for my audio but the sound is very bad like some distortion or cracking sound.... i think this model is not great for this application. I will try with an other model this morning...an old vmn1030....

I found! Not perfect but its work. I use a hmn9008, i add a jumper on the ground direct to the ptt button, the audio pass to 6khz and clipping when i speak loud, so i add a 13K resistence on the audio wire.
