Motorola vs VERTEX
I don't know if any of you people are aware, VERTEX is now wholly owned by MOT. Even the VX6000 LB radio now has the bat wings on it. All repaires for VERTEX are now handled by MOT in Illinois.

Re: Motorola vs VERTEX
"We people" found out about this a long time ago. That news is about a year old. So old in fact that since it happened Motorola has sold off the Yaesu part of Vertex.

No trees were harmed in the posting of this message...however an extraordinarily large number of electrons were horribly inconvenienced.

It was weird seeing VX820 knobs in a Motorola style bag with sticker label on it today.
nothing
Re: Motorola vs VERTEX
On the Vertex DMR radios, I chuckled when I looked at the power cable that came with the mobiles and it was regular Moto with just a Vertex part number sticker placed over the Motorola part number
Re: Motorola vs VERTEX
Motorola has done their normal on the cost of the software and cables. I was surprised when I went looking for a Vertex software program and found that I had to buy a package that also included the interface cable. Price has climbed to the normal Motorola highway robbery.
