I am trying to rekey 110w astro spectras with a KVL3000+ and the radio will not talk to the KVL. However a DX KVL works fine to key these radios. The KVL3000+ also keys our APX7000 and Liberty portables but not the mobile APX7500.
I am stumped. What am I missing here? Thanks.

it sounds like you have CKR key management checked or unchecked in the astro spectra cps. either uncheck it or check or check it.(opposite of what is currently.
does the astro spectra have multi key enabled in the flashcode?
are you trying to load the keys in ASN Mode or Astro 25 Mode
If you are using your KVL in Astro 25 mode you need to have CKR key management checked. If you are in ASN mode you need it unchecked.

Thanks KT for the reply. I have it working after I posted here. The A/S loads in the ASN mode. No CKR options to change in the CPS that I could find. I'll try the APX7500 tomorrow. By the way all our A/S are single key, the 7500's multikey. 7000 single & multi key, Liberty multikey and the XTL5000's single key. I wish all were multi key but who knew we would use it years ago....
