Can anybody tell me how to get a MTS 2000 code plug into my MTX 8000? I have seen read/write w/o unpack mentioned in a couple of places but am not sure what this is or how to use it. If someone could help me with this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Sure. You get your hands on a MTS2000 codeplug that matches the display and keypad radio you have that will load into MTSX Lab.

Then read you're radio and save the codeplug away in case something happens. Load the MTS codeplug and just write it like normal to your radio. Lab conveniently ignores features, model num and serial num so it will not prevent you from writing the wrong codeplug to your radio.

The important thing is back up your original codeplug!
