I have a Motorola JT1000 handheld, but I don't have the programming directions for it. I found a video on YouTube that lays out the procedure, but I'd like to find a hard copy version to keep with my radio.
There are no programming guidelines in the JT1000 User Manual, but I'm pretty sure that Motorola issued a programming guide with the programming key that came with the radio (by the way, my radio doesn't require the key). I've called Motorola Support, but they have no documentation in this regard.
Anyone know of such an animal?
Much thanks in advance...

- What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's
Re: Programming JT1000
If you have the rss for the ht1000 it will read the radio. You can't program that whole radio with the front panel anyways, you need the rss to alter half of it

Re: Programming JT1000
He meant the front programmable JT1000 with programming key option.
If you can stand reading it in all capitals then go to the link below and see if you can make sense of this guys posting which tries to explain the FPP feature of the JT1000

Good luck on reading it.
scroll down about 5 or 6 replies for the programming info.

I realize he wants to use the fpp but it also sounds like he just got the radio since he don't know how to use it? Probablly best to get the rss and look thru the whole radio and see what it's set up for, the fpp is very limited on that radio

I agree and the link to this guys FPP instructions are hard to read.
Why does Motorola have to be such a PITA with their documentation ?
They could simply send him the FPP document, I know they have instructions written up for FPP'ing that radio but I have never seen it posted online anywhere.
