APX 'Front Mount' to 'Trunk Mount' Conversion

Post by Tim »

Hi folks,

I've got some APX radios that were spec'd as front mount (05 head), and I need to get them converted for remote mount.

As I see it, I need the following:

HKN6188 - Control head power & speaker cable
HKN6186 or HLN7031 Control head trunion bracket
HKN6164 or appropriate length remote mount cable

It looks like there are 2 screws that attach the head to the drawer. Once the head is removed, is there some kind of plate that goes over the front of the drawer?
What about the head?

Thanks,

Tim

You will also need the CHIB (& flex), the TIB (& flex) as well as the gasket for the brick. Piece parts on the conversion will run about $400-500.

Kilgore: Smell that? You smell that?
Lance: What?
Kilgore: Napalm, son. Nothing in the world smells like that.
Kilgore: I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end...
