Puxing Radios and MDC1200

Post by tuckerm »

I'm looking to get some cheapy spare radios for a repeater system. I've had a Puxing 777 before and I think it would be perfect for the spare operations, however I'm wondering if the Puxing PX-888 radio will do MDC? I don't need it to decode, just drop an ID after transmit. I'm know the 777 can't but am curious about the 888.

Anyone have one?

Certain aspects of MDC1200 are no longer patented to Motorola

Ah. It's a brand. I thought it was something rude you do to a radio. Carry on.

None, however since this was a discussion of MDC I felt I could ask here.
