Does the APX7000XE Model III actually exist? This page shows one, and it's mentioned in the user and service manuals, but my dealer claims the 7000XE is Model I only.

Anyone seen an actual 7000XE Model III in the wild? Or is this a future/vapor product?
Thanks

That is a current product, just not many in the wild yet.
"TDMA = digital and same great taste, half the bits"

I'd trade my APX7000 for one of those. Would work even better for me at work I think
Lowband radio. The original and non-complicated wide area interoperable communications system

Ditto... I'd just be happy with an XE Model 1.5 to replace my XTS5K M1.Pj wrote:I'd trade my APX7000 for one of those. Would work even better for me at work I think
Re: APX7000XE Model III
Model I is not that hot. Very limited functionality. For a radio built as a "Firefighter" radio the only nice thing about it is the large controls when in gear. The display is small as well. For almost $8k Motorola could have done better. Don't get me wrong it works fine and is fairly rugged but really has a lot to be desired. Many prefer the XTS 2500.

It does exist. We just received 33 of them. They (Motorola) replaced our model 1s because they do not do MPL.
The Model 3 is a great radio. I have very good reports from the field. good luck... Reese
