Astro spectra CPS question

Post by radiocat37 »

I have an Astro spectra with model number of D04UJF9PW4AN and a flashcode of 500008-000480-0. Radio powers up fine, 1 MEG VOCON is intalled and I cannot see anything missing inside. Everything looks intact. Problem is I am not sure what CPS is used. I have tried both CPS 5.03 (I was pretty sure that would work) and CPS 15.00 (as a possibility). The 5.03 gives me a "failed to communicate error". I am using after market RIB with fresh battery and also tried a power cord. I tried on two seperate computers......still nothing. Where should I be looking next?? :o

Radio also has a securenet button on it. If it has a secure module, where would it be located (which board)??

The same computer and RIB combo programmed a VHF astro spectra just recently.
Thanks

Chris Griffin: That would explain all the gravity.

Peter: No, I'm just exhausted because I've been up all night drinking.
