Motorola Ht-440

Post by yardbirdjr »

Hello!

I was curious to see how much trouble it would be to retune a VHF Ht-440 portable down into the ham bands?

I am wanting to take a VHF HT-440 curently crystaled to 154.340 Mhz and recystal it down to 146.655 Mhz.

Please advise if this possible and if so where can I get the parts and possible part numbers.

Thanks

David

can be done down to 146Mhz.. not worth the hassle.. rather pickup a Motorola P110 or GP300 and get it programmed

Not really a hassle if you're experimenting and learning. Just saying... That's how I know what I know today, by trial and error and teaching myself.

While I myself don't know how to, these are excellent radios. I have a few that I still use. Good luck with it!
