Astro Spectra VHF Stuck Transmitting

Hey Guys ,

Quick question , for some reason my Astro Spectra VHF 50 Watt Remote mount seems to be stuck transmitting. This is new , if I turn off and turn on the radio is fine recieving but as soon as I transmit it seems to get stuck transmitting and cannot change channels or perform any other function till I turn off and turn on again. Ideas ?

Check the antenna, coax and all the connections. RF getting back into the radio can cause this.

This might sound stupid, but have you checked that the emergency pin is grounded in the accessory connector? Depending on how the radio is programmed, it might be trying to send the emergency message.

I re-seated the antenna connection to the radio and adjusted the cable and all is well again and working like a champ. Good to have a simple fix for once. Thanks KB9KST
