i donot know very much about the AVS expansion board option for the ht1000, but the idea of it gets me thinking of a few more questions. do newer model MT2000 or MTS2000 radios have this same AVS capability?
next question, if so is the expansion board slot in an ht1250 the same? in otherwords will the AVS boards that plug into the ht1000 (newer models) plug into a ht1250 expansion slot. the other question of does MT2000 and MTS2000 (later model)radios have this AVS slot is a separate question.

OKay the ht1250 you can get a avs board for but it is not the same as for the ht1000 the avs for the ht1250 looks like a dtmf pad the ht1000 one plugs into a connector on the logic board the 1250 plugs in via a flex connector as far as the mt2000 mts 2000 yes they have encryption the mt2000 i belivee is the same as ht1000 but the mts2000 is different or at least the 800 meg ones are hope that helps also you need avs software to program the avs boards
