900 Spectra stuck in TX

Post by KE7JFF »

So I recently had a 900 MHz spectra that I did the VCO resistor addtion to make it work on the 900 MHz ham band. After doing the resistor mod, the radio when immediately turned on, goes into TX until you of course turn it off. I thought this was the radio going into emergency mode, so I disabled it in RSS plus also modfied the jumpers on the command board to disable it as well. However it still goes into TX the minute it boots up. Anyone have any ideas? I measured power output while its on and its right on target plus the mic audio goes through of course when you key up the mic.

Try removing any "mods" you did, like the VCO mod.

Going back to square one..

Did you happen to change the head or interconnect board?
