Delayed key loss after updating codeplug

Post by AL7OC »

After updating the codeplug on my XTS5000, a few days later a key a key fail message appears on secure enabled channels. This has happened many times before. The radio works fine in secure mode for a few days, then "loses" it's keys. A keyload fixes the problem, and the radio retains its keys. This only happens after a codeplug update.

Any idea why updating the codeplug update would cause key loss several days later? The radio is running R17.01.01 DSP, R17.01.00 DSP, and secure version 05.07.15. Should keys be reloaded after a codeplug update?

Infinite key retention is enabled. The key loss phenominum occurs just once within a few days of loading a new codeplug. After re-loading the keys, they are not lost until a few days after the next time the codeplug is updated. It could be months between codeplug updates.
