MTX9000 programming cable question

Post by screa34 »

Hi,

Is the MTX9000 ribless programming cable the same as the XTS2500 ribless programming cable? I've got a cable that I know worked with my XTS2500 using CPS under windows, but won't work with my MTX9000 using RSS on DOS. I thought the same cable would work for both radios. I'm not sure if my communications problem is with the cable or something else?

thanks,
josh

No, the XTS2500 cable will not work on a Jedi radio. You need an RKN4035 or equivalent cable. Requires a RIB unless it's aftermarket and has the circuit already built in.

When using RSS in DOS you need a serial cable or the Mot cable AND a RIB.
