MTS2000 can I do this?

Post by jefflaur1 »

I have programmed an MTS2000 with all that I need..put in the PL tones, set up the transmit/recieve freqs..disabled what needed to be disabled, and overall set the radio up the way I need it with CPS. I have another MTS2000 that I want to program identically to it. I have saved the codeplug for the first radio. Can I simply take the second radio..read from it first..then open the saved codeplug from the first one and write to the new one?

IF the model numbers are the same, then you can use the Clone feature.

What radios do you own?: XTS2500, XTS5000, and MTS2000

If clone fails, do a top level drag and drop. Open up SOURCE codeplug in left pane, open up TARGET in right pane instance, go to top of codeplug and DRAG it to top level of TARGET. A great way to save time.
