SABER PROBLEM WITH SHIELDING???

hi,,

i picked up a saber 1 UHF version 440--470..i programmed the radio within the band...when i touched the front speaker portion of the radio i got i loud hum...is it the shielding or osciliator...i wonder if this is something easy to repair...the unit is reconditioned...everything was great with it other then the hum......any help!!!!!!!!!
