XTL 5000 Lockup (Yellow wire)

Post by Restech »

Hi,
I have been checking these forums for a fault we are having with our XTL 5000 (O3) UHF radios. Running 16.00.01 firmware to a remote head. We are getting the "F/L 01-90" fault or "Maint Mode" errors and I found this thread

http://batboard.batlabs.com/viewtopic.p ... A6#p455796

Now the cables we have been given for install are the Big Din Plug, HLN6863A which only has a thin red wire with a 4A fuse and the speaker cable and HKN4192B which is the 2 pin plug earth and red wire with a 20A fuse.

The above thread mentions having +12V all the time on the two red wires (Which we do) and to switch the radio via the yellow wire. We dont have a yellow wire, so I was hoping that someone could let me know where this wire connects, I am assuming to one of the pins on the Big Din Plug.

Thanks in advance,
Anthony

There would be no yellow wire on an O3. The yellow wire is for O5 heads. The lead you have on the accessory cable is for ignition sense, but it's not critical to have it unless you are using ignition sense as a power up criteria.
