How do I change the flashcode on spectra / astro

Hello! I am in search to find out how to change a flashcode on Motorola Astro / Spectra radios. Specifically I need to change certain radios to "500008-000000-1". The original flashcode is "1000010002005" (according to the spec. label on the radio). Also, how do I check to see if it has a different flashcode installed by the original owner? I am new to working with these astros / spectras, I usually deal with every other Motorola radio besides these and just got hundreds of these in. Any help would be much appreciated!

if you read your radio the flash code in under radio informaion field ..this will be the most accurate way determining what the present flash code is .
Secondly what will you be upgrading /updating to with your new flash code .Normally an upgrade in flash code is done through a dongle depending on what you are upgrading to.
Motorola normally decodes the present flash code and tells you what is required for your new upgrade /update .
