I have a David Clark H7041 headset with boom mic,
it interfaced to a VOX adapter ( P/N 18697G-01)
and from what I can tell, was used in Fire Service.
The VOX adapter has a cable (V7028)that has a "plug" that goes to
a Motorola portable radio (P-200, HT600, HT800, MTX800
MTX900 and a MT1000) The VOX adapter, has electronics with a mic gain control
and other pots as well as a rechargeable 9 Volt battery.
What I really need is the connections on this accessory Plug.
I would like to "re-make" the V7028 cable to interface to various radios.
Info on the vox adapter would great.
Thanks

You need to become a visitor to the batlabs.com site and explore all the good information there.
Try using this link to get you there for the first time for info on the HT600 speaker mic connections.

Good luck on your project.

Re: David Clark Headset
Because I'm here, it must be obvious that I am a "a visitor to the batlabs.com "
Thank you for the link, that at least gives me an idea what the radio connector
pin-outs might be. I was hoping that someone knew something about the
VOX adapter ( P/N 18697G-01)
Thanks

Re: David Clark Headset
Naw, he meant the batlabs.com main site. The message boards here are not run by the same person that runs the main batlabs website. Although there is a plethora of information on the main site, much of it is for older radios and there have not been any updates to the main site in a very long time. Motorola have released several new families of radios and there is no info on the main site about them. For current production Motorola gear the boards here are a much better source of information.k8zgw wrote:Because I'm here, it must be obvious that I am a "a visitor to the batlabs.com "

Re: David Clark Headset
Don, if you are able to receive a fax, David Clark customer service can provide you with a schematic of the VOX adapter that you have. They're at 800-298-6235.
Re: David Clark Headset
Al, I was on the phone with the NICE lady at David Clark, Jo-Ann.
This is an obsolete part. She is going to try and get me whatever
information she can. I tried to e-mail a couple guys at D/C
who were not much help. At least Jo-Ann is trying, I'll let you know.
Thanks

Re: David Clark Headset
Don, customer service at DC is usually quite good. I hope they're able to come up with the info that will help you...if they can't, I don't know who else could.
