Astro Spectra Question

I want to replace my control head on my Astro Spectra with a hand held control HMN4044D. Do I need to do anything or will this even work before I buy the new head?

I already have the remote mount kit installed in the car. I have a 50watt Astro Spectra with a W7 control head

Lets see....new interconnect board, new remote cable, tear ur car apart to run it and remove the old cable, get an srecord for a w3 pushed in, tune it if u forgot to read and write down ur tuning values. Of course the W3 head itself.
